Vowels:-

ya ra la va sha shah sa ha la

note: every 2nd/4th letter in alp should be pressed while saying. And the 5th letter should be prounounced using nose. Actually kannada has 49 charecters.
An addition of alp. With vowels forms letters.
Ka+ai=kai

ma+am=mam
